Designed to help players learn the game, build confidence and stay engaged
Built for players at the beginning of their development, Next Gen Soccer Academy bridges Town Soccer and Club by providing elevated training standards without the demands of a traditional club schedule.
How It Works
Next Gen runs in 6–8 week sessions offered throughout the year. Players may join for a single session or return for multiple based on interest and availability. A full-year commitment is not required.
Training follows a consistent structure, allowing skills and understanding to build over time rather than reset. This continuity supports real development while keeping participation flexible for families.
This approach helps players feel comfortable on the field and develop a genuine love for the game.
Who It's For
No prior soccer experience is required. Next Gen is ideal for young players, early in their soccer journey. This includes boys and girls playing soccer for the first time and those with some experience who could benefit from additional training.
Open to players ages 4 and up. Players are grouped accordingly to support appropriate development and learning
Sessions Format. Our program builds strong technical foundations and a clear understanding of the game. As players progress, they apply those skills in game-like situations, gaining confidence on the ball and awareness of teammates and space.
Coaching
Sessions are led by Next Gen Director Dom Aidukaitis, alongside experienced ACI coaches using a structured development plan.

Pathway to Club
Next Gen is designed as a starting point, not a replacement for club soccer. It prepares players with the foundations needed to move into a more competitive environment when the timing is right.
For players who show interest and readiness, Next Gen provides a natural transition into AC Independence teams. Coaches are already familiar with the players, training expectations are established and the step forward is clear.
